Stapenhill FC fan, and 1000GBP.com player, A Drew recently won our first ever competition to win Premier League tickets. He was treated to a day at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday 14th April 2024 where he saw Arsenal take on Aston Villa.
The fixture was a pivotal one as the Premier League season draws to a close. Arsenal went into the game knowing that a win would see them go top of the Premier League with 6 games remaining, whilst Villa knew a win would cement their grip on fourth spot, and with it qualification for next season's Champions League. This match also saw former Gunners manager Unai Emery return to his old side, with fans in the crowd for the first time. After defeating Arsenal 1-0 at Villa Park in December, his side had the chance for an impressive league double over their opponents.
The first half was a tight affair, with Leandro Trossard denied a goal by an excellent stop from Emiliano Martinez, and Villa impressively hitting the post before the ball rolled out of play. In the second half, Emery's side were clearly the stronger, and came away with a 2-0 victory courtesy of late goals from Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins.
A Drew was lucky enough to be in attendance at the game and had a fantastic time. After playing The Ultimate Football Quiz, and scoring a large number of points, he emerged victorious from the competition. He won a pair of tickets in the Cannon Club, at Club Level at the Emirates Stadium. A Drew's day out included executive padded seats, pre-match food and drinks, a half-time drink and a matchday programme - cementing a wonderful and very special day out for him.
